Ellerbrock supports Riepenhoff in race for commissioner
Comments 0 | Recommend 0To the people of Putnam County
My name is Rose Ellerbrock, and as a former teacher and having lived in rural Leipsic for 49 years, my entire married life, I have come to know Bob Riepenhoff and his family quite well.
I have followed his 24 years as Township Trustee. He always worked to get needed road construction from the township budget, and was often seen running the snowplow and helping the patching crew keep up the roads. In other words, he takes his job seriously and keeps his commitments to the public.
I have seen him carry this work ethic to the County Commission Office.
He worked to end an economic development dispute by trying to get the Ohio Disputes Commission to settle it. When the majority in the County Commission hired two highly paid big-city lawyers, at the public's expense, he voted NO, saying the differences could be solved with mediation, which in the end proved to be correct.
Among his other accomplishments are the following;
He testified at the State Board of Health to get a workable septic system for lake plains counties, like Putnam, which resulted in a system which would cost slightly less than the proposed one, and which would work better in our clay soil.
He initiated the National Emergency Grant for our county to remove log jams and fallen trees from the Blanchard and Auglaize Rivers and their tributaries to reduce flood damage.
In his campaign he stays positive and does not stoop to smear tactics.
For these reasons and based on his years of experience, I firmly believe that he should be re-elected Putnam County Commissioner.
Thank you
Rose Ellerbrock
