To the Editor

How lucky we are to be residents of Putnam County, Ohio! A wonderful combination of townships, and villages which are filled with people who take pride in living, working, and raising families within our rural county here in northwest Ohio. Even though we reside in various neighborhoods, and within different communities; we all share a common address known as Putnam County, Ohio.

As residents of Putnam County, we are very fortunate to have many resources available which provide assistance to us, to our friends, and to our neighbors. Many of these resources are provided by 17 local partner agencies of the Putnam County United Way.

Each year, the United Way Board sets a campaign goal in anticipation of raising funds to help support these local agencies which provide important services to our friends and neighbors right here in Putnam County. It has been my pleasure to be a board member of United Way for over ten years, and it has been amazing to see the generosity of the people of Putnam County each and every year. From small businesses, to professional and private organizations, to large corporations, and to the hundreds of individual donors….the people of Putnam County are always willing to lend a hand … by providing monetary donations, and volunteering; they really show their strong belief in “living united” here in Putnam County.

As this year’s United Way Campaign Chairman, I would like to remind you that this year’s campaign kick-off is just around the corner. Whether you make your annual United Way donation through your place of employment, or as an individual; no matter what size, you are not only lending a hand to one of your neighbors, you are also influencing the condition of all of your neighbors throughout our county. WOW… what a great way to share your time, your talents, and your treasures to make our corner of the world a little better place for us all to live, work and enjoy our families. Thank you for your support…Lets all unite for a stronger Putnam County, and make this year’s campaign a Great Success to benefit of all of us who reside here in Putnam County.
