Emma Olivia Hairston

Emma Olivia Hairston, 65, died at 7:18 p.m. April 28, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center.
She was born May 3, 1942, in Florence, Ala., to George Clemons and Waymon Jones Clemons Boddie. Her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives in Lima.
Ms. Hairston had worked at Copeland Corp., Sidney, and Beverly Health Care, Lima. She was a member Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed working puzzles and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed.
Survivors also include two sons, Lieutenant Clemons, of Phenix City, Ala., and Ricardo (Brandy Wheeler) Williams, of Columbus; four daughters, Vanessa (Henry) Carter, of Lima, Alicia Simmons, of Chillicothe, Susie (Willie Gordy) Williams, of Phenix City, Ala., and Carla (Brett) Wood, of Lima; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Grady (Ruthie) Clemons, of Lima, and Sandros Boddie, of Dayton; and two sisters, Amy (John) Secession and Georgia (Tyrone Brock) Young, both of Lima.
Services will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Eleventh Street Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Robert Toney will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today at the church, where the family will be present from 4 to 6 p.m.
