JOANNE C. MAAG, 66, died at 9 p.m. Aug. 29, 204, at Calvary Manor Nursing Home, Glandorf.
She was born March 27, 1938, in Miller City to Jacob and Agnes Wallen Warnimont, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 21, 1957, she married Francis H. Maag, who survives in Glandorf.
Mrs. Maag retired from Patrick Plastics/RXI/Silgan Plastics, Ottawa, after 21 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf, and its Altar Rosary Society and Catholic Ladies of Columbia. She enjoyed crocheting as a pastime and had made 35 afghans for her children, grandchildren and close friends in the past year. She was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.
Survivors also include three sons, Dean (Cindy) Maag of Ottawa, Byron (Julia) Maag of Leipsic and Randall (Karen) Maag of Ottawa; three daughters, Connie (Ed) Ladd and Clarine (Leroy) Hermiller, both of Ottawa, and Pamela (Ted) Langhals of Columbus Grove; 21 grandchildren; a brother, Norbert (Mary Ann) Warnimont of Miller City; and three sisters, Eileen (Herman) Klausing and Alma Jean (Robert) Hashbarger, both of Ottawa, and Rita (Gerald) Franz of Holgate.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter; three brothers, Robert, Verl and William Warnimont; and a sister, Mary Lou Beutler.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Glandorf. Fathers Harold Brown and Ron Warnimont will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Love Funeral Home, Ottawa, where a CLC and altar rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gerad Foundation for Cancer Treatment.
