Local and historical team playing vintage baseball game in Ottawa
Comments 0 | Recommend 0OTTAWA - On Sunday, October 11th at 2:00 p.m. at Ottawa’s Memorial Field, the Ohio Village Muffins will face a team of local celebrity gentlemen, the Tawa Town Gents in a base ball match using the rules of 1860. Admission is free, donations will be accepted. The prize drawing will take place immediately following the event. (rain or shine) Concessions (cotton candy, peanuts, popcorn, sandwiches) will be offered by the New Creation Lutheran Church Youth, and Putnam County YMCA Youth. Thirteen area men have committed to play for the Gents—graciously donating their time to help aid the Food Pantry.
Prize tickets are currently available at American Legion Post 63, Beckman Jewelers, Fortman Insurance, Log-On Computers, Northwest Fitness Center, PT Services, Warren Printing, and the Ottawa Area Chamber Office. Prizes are on display at Log-On Computers. Tickets may also be ordered on line at www.ottawalegionbaseball.com Donations may also be made directly to the Ottawa Food Pantry located in the Trinity United Methodist Church.
