B. Ilene Fisher

B. Ilene Fisher, 96, died at 7:30 a.m. April 28, 2008, at The Gardens, Wapakoneta.
She was born March 9, 1912, in Lincoln, Neb., to Earl and Edith Baker, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 1, 1937, she married A. Donald Almquist, who died May 14, 1956. On Aug. 16, 1962, she married Paul E. Fisher Sr., who died Dec. 29, 1991.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. She was a member of the Helen Hunt Circle and had been a member of the Wapakoneta Country Club. She was a 30-year volunteer with the American Red Cross bloodmobile and a 20-year volunteer and a life member of Lima Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She attended the University of Nebraska, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Betty (Robert C.) Lietz, of Wapakoneta, and Linda Fisher, of Yellow Springs; a stepdaughter-in-law, Charlotte Fisher, of Wapakoneta; a sister, Viola, of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a stepson, Paul E. "Bud" Fisher Jr.; and three sisters, Ruth, Verna and Rachael.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta. Pastor Steven Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to First English Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
