July Hilty Home Happenings
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Many new and exciting things are happening at the Hilty Home this July! There will be music with Jimmy Dale, the Sisters, and also music with harps and strings performing this month. Ceramics and manicures will be offered, and a shopping trip and a trip to Dixie Gottfried Memorial Park are also scheduled. There is an ice cream trip and a country drive scheduled as well, and activities with the child care children are set throughout the month, including lunch with the residents, reading together, and room visits, and a trip to the Ottawa Park.
The July Resident of the Month is Herb Reichenbach, of Bluffton. Herb has been making wooden creations since he was in high school, from tiny figurines to grandfather clocks. He uses different woods and various techniques in his creation of these projects, and his work can be found near and far. In his room at Hilty Home is the one-of-a-kind three foot replica of the semi truck he drove when he hauled cattle for N.P. Steiner. Some of Herb's projects were displayed in the Assisted Living wing recently.
