Leipsic Board of Education Meeting Highlights for June 30, 2009

 The Leipsic Board of Education held a special meeting on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library. Brad Schroeder, Dan Zeisloft, Marilyn Knueven, and Art Lomeli were in attendance, while Tim Nadler was absent.

The following motions were approved and passed by board member vote:

•1.       Disposal of inventory as presented;

•2.      Payment of invoice to the Putnam County ESC for excess cost;

•3.      Participation in the Ohio School Board's Association 2010 Worker's Comp Group Rating  Program;

•4.      Fiscal year 2010 temporary appropriations;

•5.      Administrative Non-Exempt Employee Wage Rates for 2009-10 as presented;

•6.      Appropriation modifications for fiscal year 2009;

•7.      Transfers/advances/advance backs;

•8.      Agree to waive the school district's 45 day notice requirement and further agree to the Village of Leipsic ‘s tax abatement request for the IAMS Company (abate 75% of the taxes on the real property improvements for fifteen years through a CRA agreement and TIF the remaining 25% of taxes on the real property improvements for fifteen years with the school to receive a portion of the re-directed TIF proceeds ($1,639.00 annually or more depending on project costs.)

Meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. The next regular Leipsic Board of Education meeting is planned for Monday, July 13th at 6:00 p.m. in the high school library.
