Don?t blame police for doing their jobs

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

MICHELLE M. FISCHBACH, Fort JenningsWhy do we ask law enforcement to protect us then turn around and charge one of them? I have not heard anyone ask why Tarika Wilson had her children in a drug house. All I hear is it is a black-and-white issue. All I hear is that, if her boyfriend were white, he already would have been arrested. Sometimes, the police have to let a drug dealer do what they do to get the bigger drug dealer, and we all know this.I do not understand why the police always get the short end of the stick while they are putting their lives on the line every day. I do not believe the color of the skin on the people in that house had anything to do with the shooting. She should not have had her kids in a drug house. I think the officer is being put in a situation that is unfair. All he was doing was protecting the public. It has been a long time since slavery, and it needs to be let go of. None of these people were slaves, and they need to let it go and abide by the law. The color of the skin of the people in that house had nothing to do with it.
