BATH TOWNSHIP — Bath’s Brad Davis became the second Wildcats’ boys basketball player to reach 1,000 career points Friday in leading his team to a 59-47 Western Buckeye League win over visiting Kenton.
Davis scored 14 points for Bath and broke the 1,000-point barrier when he sunk a 3-pointer in the second quarter. The all-time career scoring leader at Bath is Brian Jesko with 1,041 points.
Nate Heffner scored 18 points for Bath and Taren Sullivan scored 10 points. Brice Fackler had 16 points for Kenton while Maty Mauk added 10 points.
The Wildcats are 13-3 overall and 5-1 in the league while Kenton is 5-9, 0-6.
Celina 73, Shawnee 62
CELINA — Matt Buschur scored 22 points for Celina in the WBL victory over Shawnee. Scott Moeder tallied 21 points for the Bulldogs (7-8, 2-4) while Braden Billger scored 14 points. Seth Rosenbauer scored 19 points for Shawnee (4-12, 1-5), Elijah Pugsley had 15 points and Cole Pohjala added 10 points.
Wapakoneta 60, St. Marys 40
ST. MARYS — Jake Buzzard netted 19 points to pace Wapakoneta to the WBL victory. Wapakoneta led 29-15 at halftime. The Redskins are 5-10 overall and 2-4 in the WBL while the Roughriders are 5-10, 1-5. Travis Bertram scored 13 points for Wapakoneta and Alex Greve had 10 points. Garrett Fledderjohann had 20 points for St. Marys and James Austin scored 12 points.
Lincolnview 44, Ada 42
ADA — Lincolnview outscored Ada 31-22 in the second half to upset the Bulldogs in the Northwest Conference game.
Kyle Williams and Sloan Whitaker each scored 12 points for the Lancers (7-9, 3-3) and Connor McCleary scored 8 points. Konnor Baker led all scorers with 21 poinst for Ada (12-3, 4-2) and Austin Weber had 10 points.
Columbus Grove 69, Bluffton 40
COLUMBUS GROVE — Grove stormed out to a 20-10 lead after one quarter and made it 41-17 at halftime en route to the NWC victory.
Jordan Travis had 25 points and 3 steals for the Bulldogs (11-3, 5-1) while Wade Heffner had 12 points. Michael Donley scored 16 points for Bluffton (3-12, 2-4) and R.J. Stratton added 11 points.
Spencerville 59, Delphos Jefferson 40
DELPHOS — Derek Goecke’s 16 points paced the Bearcats in the NWC victory. Spencerville is 10-5 overall and 4-2 in the conference while Jefferson tumbles to 0-6, 1-14. Dan Binkley scored 13 points for Spencerville and Coleman McCormick had 10 points. Nick Fitch finished with 14 points for the Wildcats.
Crestview 69, Allen East 37
CONVOY — Nick Adam poured in 20 points to lead Crestview to the NWC with at home. Damian Helm scored 16 points for Crestview (10-5, 3-3) and Nick Bauer scored 10 points. Tanner Richardsona nd Matt Shuey each scored 8 points for Allen East (4-11, 0-6).
Perry 54, USV 34
PERRY TOWNSHIP — Kevontae Steele went off for 24 points, making 13-of-14 from the charity stripe, and Perry rolled to the Northwest Central Conference win. Shaquille Douglas scored 11 points for Perry (7-8, 3-3) and T.J. Sloan had 8 points. Austin Howard scored 13 points for Upper Scioto Valley (5-9, 2-4).
Temple Christian 62, Riverside 55
DeGRAFF — Kurt Brenneman’s 21 points led Temple Christian to the road NWCC victory. Temple improves to 10-4 overall and 3-2 in the conference. Jared Mitchell scored 14 for the Pioneers and Evan Sutton had 10 points.
Ridgemont 63, Waynesfield-Goshen 57
WAYNESFIELD — Waynesfield-Goshen fell to 5-9 overall and 2-3 in the NWCC while Ridgemont is 10-5, 4-2. Jake Frank scored 16 points for the Tigers and Jake Risner scored 10 points.
Kalida 47, Ottoville 42
OTTOVILLE — Austin Roebke scored 11 points for Kalida in the PCL victory. Paul Utendorf tacked on 10 points for Kalida (9-5, 3-2). Derek Schimmoeller had 15 points for Ottoville (3-12, 0-5) while Ryan Honigford scored 13 points.
Delphos St. John’s 62, New Bremen 60
NEW BREMEN — Curtis Geise scored 22 points as St. John’s held off New Bremen for the Midwest Athletic Conference victory. Alex Clark scored 15 points for the Blue Jays (9-6, 5-1). Troy Williams scored 18 points for New Bremen (9-5, 4-2), Aaron Clune had 14 points, Justin Heitkamp scored 12 and Elliott Westerbeck added 11 points.
St. Henry 42, Fort Recovery 41
FORT RECOVERY — Steve Luttmer’s 13 points led St. Henry to the MAC upset as the Redskins (10-5, 3-3) handed Fort Recovery their first MAC loss. Wade Gelhaus scored 14 points for Fort Recovery (13-2, 5-1).
Coldwater 47, New Knoxville 43
COLDWATER — Coldwater jumped on New Knoxville for a 19-9 lead after one quarter and went on to win the MAC game at home. Austin Bruns scored 22 points and grabbed 8 boards while Brandon Wolters added 10 points for Coldwater (5-9, 2-4). Lucas Leffel had 12 points for New Knoxville (6-8, 1-4) while Ryan Lageman, Jake Allen and Andrew Arnett had 9 points apiece.
Marion Local 58, Parkway 43
ROCKFORD — Lee Pierron scored 15 points and Marcus Prenger added 11 as the Flyers won the MAC game to improve to 7-6, 2-3. Jordan Bollenbacher scored 15 points for Parkway (1-15, 0-6).
Pandora-Gilboa 47, Arcadia 39
PANDORA — Nathan Schutz and Josh Breece each scored 12 points as eight P-G players scored in the Blanchard Valley Conference win.
The Rockets are 5-10 overall and 4-3 in the conference while Arcadia is 6-8, 2-5.
Leipsic 91, Hardin Northern 30
DOLA — Devin Mangas scored 17 points for the Vikings in the BVC victory. Zach Kuhlman had 16 points for Leipsic (13-1, 6-0) and Ty Maag had 12 points.
